East Africa is a true bird watching safaris destination. Located at the approximate centre of the continent, East Africa attracts migrants from the North and South.

Uganda is the richest country for birds in Africa. It has almost half the species known on the African continent and over 10% of those recorded throughout the entire world. Over 1,000 species of birds have been recorded to exist in the country. Some of the exciting species you will view include birds of water and land shore, birds of scrub and woodland, forest birds and birds of the open plain.

In order for you to enjoy most of our birding safaris you are supposed to arrive early in the morning at Entebbe international airport. This is where you shall meet with our guide for a small briefing.

Day 1: TRANSFER TO KAJJANSI AIRSTRIP.
Have breakfast and transfer to Kajjansi airstrip to catch your charter flight to Kasese where you will meet our guide who will transfer you to the lodge. The drive will take you about two hours. Have lunch at the lodge and then relax at the lodge or explore the nearby crater lakes of Kibale National park. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/ Primates Lodge Kanyanchu/ Rwenzori View Guest House.

Day 2: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING.
Go for chimpanzee tracking in the morning hours in the park. The park also harbours variety of other primate species and therefore you will be able to see other primates like L'Hoest Monkey, colobus monkeys, baboons, bush babies and many more. In the afternoon you will go for a walk around the Bigodi Swamp to have a look at the unique flora and fauna with plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge or Mantana Tented Camp.

Day 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH
In the morning, go for walk in the foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. You will reach in time for the boat trip. You will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. This trip will reward you with game like Hippos, buffaloes and plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana Safari Lodge.

Day 4: GAME DRIVE.
Go for a game drive on the Kasenyi track, to search for predators and early risers. Expect game like Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, bush bucks, Defassa waterbucks, Jackals and many more.  In the afternoon you will transfer to the Kyambura gorge to go for a walk in the lost world. Here you will track chimpanzees and other primates. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana Safari Lodge.

Day 5: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE.
Have breakfast and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will drive through the Ishasha sector and this will enable you view tree climbing lions. You will reach in the late afternoon to go for a community walk in Buhoma village where you will be entertained in some of the cultural dances of Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Mantana Tented Camp.

Day 6: GORILLA TRACKING.
You will have breakfast and go for briefing at the park headquarters before you go to the forest in search for gorillas. Gorilla tracking takes about 1 hour to 8 or more depending on the movement of these humble giants at that particular day. The experience of seeing these humble giants, play, feed, and interact erases the hardships that one goes through trying to find the gorillas. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Forest Camp- executive and luxury/Volcanoes gorilla safari lodge or Kitandara Tented Camp for mid rate.

Day 7: END OF SAFARI.
Have breakfast and go for an early morning nature walk in the forest. You will then transfer to Kayonza airstrip for your charter flight back to Kampala / Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel / Botanical Beach Hotel / Serena Hotel.
